Farmasi
Semua orang kalau mendengar kata FARMASI pasti ada hubungannya dengan pembuatan dan peracikan obat. Ya, semua itu memang benar. Farmasi memang berhubungan dengan obat-obatan.
Farmasi adalah sekolah yang mengajarkan bagaimana membuat dan meracik obat dengan baik, teliti, bersih, dan tidak melebihi dosis. Untuk membuat resep obat, ada perhitungan DM atau Dosis Maksimum. DM dibagi menjadi 3, yaitu berdasarkan umur: Rumus Younger (< 8 thn), Rumus Dilling (8-20 thn), dan Rumus Fried (umur bayi dalam bulan). Semua itu dilakukan agar si pembuat tidak asal dalam membuat resep obat untuk pasien. Tidak hanya membuat resep dokter, tapi di SMK Farmasi diajarkan bagaimana cara membuat obat-obatan dari bahan alami. Semua itu ada dipelajaran Farmakognosi. Yang pasti di SMK Farmasi banyak mendapat pelajaran baru yang belum pernah didapatkan semasa dudukdi bangku SMP.
Banyak orang yang tertarik untuk bersekolah di sana. Tapi hanya 160 orang yang hanya diterima disana dari ±700 orang yang mendaftar. SMK Farmasi memang mempunyai standar kompetensi yang lebih dari SMK-SMK yang lainnya. Karena mempunyai murid-murid yang diseleksi secara ketat dan mempunyai fasilitas-fasilitas yang cukup memadai untuk menunjang dalam pembelajaran siwa-siswanya.
Jadwal padat, berangkat pagi pulang sore. Itulah yang dilakukan semua anak SMK Farmasi. Tapi semua itu mereka lakukan dengan penuh semangat. Bersekolah disana memerlukan biaya yang mahal, hampir 400 ribu per bulannya. Mungkin itu juga yang menjadi faktor utama mereka semangat dalam belajar dan mereka pun tak ingin mengecewakan orang tua.
